Dubai
Dubai on your own terms
Dubai is a city of contrasts, where gleaming towers stand a short drive from desert dunes, and a creek lined with traditional boats once anchored the city’s trade. It rewards a few days of sightseeing as well as weeks of working there, and many guests find that a home with its own kitchen and space gives them more freedom than a hotel room. Our home is in Business Bay, beside the Dubai Water Canal and a few minutes from Downtown Dubai, and we explain how it and its building work before you arrive, so there are no surprises on the day.

Who stays in Dubai
Business and project travellers
Dubai’s calendar of conferences, exhibitions and corporate meetings brings steady demand through the cooler months, and project teams and contractors often arrive for several weeks at a time. Many prefer a home to a hotel, because a kitchen, space to work and a quiet evening make long days easier. Teams of colleagues can book more than one home and plan their dates together.
Holidays, stopovers and new arrivals
Holiday makers and stopover guests come for the beaches, the shopping and the desert, and families appreciate the extra room of a home. Newcomers moving to the city for work often need a few weeks while they arrange a lease, a visa and a school, and a furnished home gives them somewhere settled to begin.
Living and working in Business Bay
Business Bay is a district of towers and waterfront promenades beside Downtown Dubai, built around an extension of Dubai Creek.

Who it suits
Business Bay’s corporate offices and financial services firms sit beside Downtown Dubai’s commercial district, with the DIFC financial district and the Dubai World Trade Centre’s exhibitions and conferences close by. That brings corporate consultants, entrepreneurs, project teams and event visitors, many staying for weeks rather than nights.
On the doorstep
The Dubai Water Canal and its waterfront promenade run through the district, and the Burj Khalifa, the Dubai Fountain, the Dubai Mall and Dubai Opera are a short ride away. Bay Square has restaurants and cafes for evenings close to home, and DIFC and City Walk are easy to reach.
Getting around Dubai
Business Bay and Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall stations on the Metro’s Red Line serve the district, and Sheikh Zayed Road (E11), Al Khail Road (E44) and Al Asayel Street connect it with the rest of the city. The Dubai Metro runs on two lines, and a rechargeable Nol card pays for the metro, buses and trams. A tram serves the Marina area, a monorail runs along the Palm Jumeirah and traditional abra boats ferry passengers across the creek for a small fare. Taxis are easy to find and ride-hailing apps work well, though the morning and evening peaks can be slow. Dubai International is close to the centre, so airport transfers are quick outside rush hour.

Sights across the city
Downtown Dubai is the headline district, with the Burj Khalifa, the Dubai Mall and the evening show at the Dubai Fountain. Across the creek, the Al Fahidi historic neighbourhood and the gold and spice souks show an older Dubai of wind towers and narrow lanes. The beaches of Jumeirah and the promenades of the Marina make easy half days, and desert safaris collect guests from their accommodation. Winter and spring are the most comfortable seasons for these outings.

Your home in Dubai
Our Dubai home is a two-bedroom apartment in Waves Tower, Business Bay, with a balcony above the Dubai Water Canal and use of the building’s pool, gym and sauna. It is prepared and managed by the Ayda Stays team, and we describe it honestly before you book. Because buildings in the city differ widely, we explain how each one works, including access, parking and any shared facilities, so that arrival is simple. Bedrooms, sleeping arrangements and amenities are confirmed for your dates rather than assumed, and longer stays can be discussed at the outset.
Why book direct in Dubai
Direct booking puts you in touch with the people who prepare your home, which matters in a city where plans often shift with a flight, a meeting or a visa appointment. You can ask about early arrival, a late departure or a longer stay before you commit, and we will answer plainly. Everything is confirmed in writing, and our 4.98 Superhost rating reflects that attention.
